Betty J. D'Amico, 75, of Main St. Wampum passed away on Wednesday, October 7, 2009 at the Jameson Memorial Hospital following a short illness.

Born April 3, 1934 in Ellport, she was the daughter of the late Leonard W. and Mae Thompson Weir. She was married to the late Dominic D'Amico who died February 1, 1991.

A homemaker, Mrs. D'Amico was of the Roman Catholic Faith. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include seven children and their spouses: Dominic L. and Elena D'Amico of Marion, KY, James Michael and Ricky D'Amico of St. Cloud, FL, Avis M. and Albert "Smitty" Smith of Wampum, Linda L. D'Amico of Wampum, Mary E. and Mark Cunningham of Ellport, Christine E. and Robert Hodes of Gilbertsville, Pa. and Lisa J. Cook of Wampum. She also leaves behind fifteen grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, two sisters, Sally Scopack of Hermitage, Susie Weir of South Carolina, and two brothers, Jack Weir of Salem, Ohio and Gary Weir of Hermitage, Pa.

In addition to her husband, Betty was preceded in death by two sisters, Edna Mae "Peggy" Woods and Leona "Idella" Weir, and two brothers, Walter L. and Dale Weir.

Visiting hours will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 on Friday, October 9 at the Marshall Funeral Home Main St. Wampum.

A Blessing Service will be held at the Marshall Funeral Home on Saturday, October 10, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Father Louis Pascazi of Holy Redeemer Church officiating.

Interment will follow in Locust Grove Cemetery.
