Wayne L. Hall


Wayne L. Hall 71, of the Frisco area of Ellwood city, died Saturday Oct. 17, 2009 at the Kindred hospital in Oakdale, Pa.

He was born in Hookstown on July 14,1934, to the late Clifford W. and Anna Martha Beal Hall.

He is survived by his wife Anna Watterson Hall whom he married on March 9, l957. Two sons and their spouses Wayne ( Judy ) Hall II, James( Lori ) Hall both of North Sewickley Twp. Two daughters and their friends Debra Hall ( Dan Cogley ), Barbara Hall (James Maier ) both of Ellwood City. Nine Grandchildren, Eric Zeigler, Wayne III, Tyrel, Austin, Ashley Hall, Travis Hall and his spouse Nicole, Michael and Brandon Farah, Elizabeth Coder. One Great Grandchild, Keaton Fotta.

Mr. Hall worked for Miller and Sons, as a Perry Twp. Police Officer, at Precision Metals, Babcock and Wilcox, and currently at the Franklin Twp.Plaza as the Supervisor of the outdoor mainentence. Wayne was an active member of the First United Methodist Church having server as a trustee, and the AAA Ham Radio Operator. He was also a former member of the Odd Fellows. He enjoyed playing guitar with his eldest son and grandson. He also enjoyed watching his grandchildren in all their activities, cross country, dancing, play performances, gymnastics, and baseball. He spent much of the fall hopping from tractor pull to tractor pull at the different fall fairs.

He and his wife celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 2007 with a party at the First United Methodist Church.

Friends will be received at the Marshall Funeral Home Inc. 200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City on Sunday Oct. 18, from 7 – 9 PM. Again on Monday the 19th from 2-4 and 7-9.

Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday Oct. 20.at 11:00 AM with Rev. Dr. James Durlesser and Rev. David Alleman officiating.

I'm sorry for your loss -  If you need anything, please feel free to call or stop by - I lost my dad last month so i can relate to the pain you must be experiencing - your dad was a wonderful man - we looked forward to seeing  him when we were up at the plaza! He always greeted us warmly when we saw him.

Wayne will be truely missed by the Armstrong family.His wild and crazy jokes when he came in the Busy Beaver.Wayne was like a shepard watching over his sheep,he knew at all times what was going on at the plaza.Our hearts are greiving with you in this loss of a special person,for we have just lost an angel ourselves.May God grant you and your family the strength and will power to make it through this sorrowful time.God bless Valerie from Busy Beaver and family
