Alice McPheron

Alice McPheron 73 of Orchard Rd. Enon Valley (Little Beaver Twp.) died on Tuesday, October 20, 2009 at the Jameson Memorial Hospital following an extended illness.

Born September 20, 1936 in Youngstown, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Rose Kaffel Sheetz.

Alice was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 8106 in New Galilee. She was a volunteer at the Beaver Valley Nursing Home for many years. She helped with picnics, bingo, games, trips to Pittsburgh with Veterans for the Sharing and Caring river boat rides. She enjoyed crocheting afghans and doll dresses, flower gardening and decorating for the holidays. She was also an avid Steeler Fan.

Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Roger R. McPheron; children and their spouses; Robert (Mary Ann) McPheron of East Palestine, Ohio, Thomas McPheron at home, Katherine (William) Opperman of Enon Valley, Michael (Mary Lou) McPheron of Slippery Rock, and two granddaughters and five grandsons.

The last of her family, she was preceded in death by three brothers.

Visiting hours will be held from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service at 1:00 P.M. at the Marshall Funeral Home Main St. Wampum on Friday, October 23, 2009.
