Ada M. McClymonds


Ada M. McClymonds, 81, of E. Portersville Rd. Portersville (Muddy Creek Twp.) died unexpectedly on Sunday, June 20, 2010 at her residence.

Born October 22, 1928 in Portersville, she was the daughter of the late William and Marian Cleland Weller.

She was married to the late Norman McClymonds who passed away in 1984.

Ada was an active member and the custodian of the Portersville Bible Church. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1946. She enjoyed bird watching, gardening and her grandchildren.

Survivors include eight children, Jane (Cal) Chronister of Portage, Indiana, Donald McClymonds of Portersville, Henry McClymonds of Ellwood City, Melody McClymonds of Portersville, William McClymonds of Ellwood City, Dorothy McClymonds of Portersville, Ruth McClymonds of Oak Park, California, Richard McClymonds of Portersville, brother, David (Nickie) Weller of Portersville, three sisters; Lois (Ray) Bauder and Mary Barr, both of Portersville, Edie (Jerry) Riffe of San Diego, CA, five grandchildren; Randy, Bruce and Derek McClymonds, Jennifer (Kevin) Robertson, Stacy (Andy) Vecillio, five great grandchildren, Kadin, Logan, Micah, Noah, and Isiah, and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son, Dennis and a sister, Jean Brenneman.

Visiting hours will be held from 2-4 and 7-9, Wednesday, June 23 at the Marshall Funeral Home 200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City. Funeral Services will be held at the Portersville Bible Church on Thursday, June 24, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Mike Charles officiating. Interment will follow in the Portersville Bible Church Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Portersville Bible Church.

to the family of alda mcclymonds: our deepest sympathy in the passing of alda. i always enjoyed talking to Alda at the McClymonds reunion years ago. My grandmother was Estella Mcclymonds Laughlin, daughter of Joseph McClymonds. Alda was a beautiful lady inside and out. She was always so proud of her family.
