Anna H. Herr

Anna H Herr, 88, of Old Pittsburgh Rd. Wampum (Shenango Twp.) died on Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at the Avalon Nursing Center following an extended illness. Born December 1, 1921 in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Willis and Anna Nalinz Jackson. Anna was a giving and caring person.

She enjoyed gardening, canning and helping on the farm and was an expert crafter. She was an avid bingo player. She especially cherished time spent with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Joseph Herr, eight children; Joe (Mary Ellen) Herr Jr. of New Galilee, Lee (Cindy) Herr of Mesa, Arizona, Donald (Sonya) Herr of North Carolina, Delores (Al) Burroso of Florida, Larry (Crystal) Herr of West Pittsburg, Loree Tannett of Calgary, Alberta, Lenore (Ronald) Dittrich-Zotter of Pittsburgh and Andrew (Mary) Patton of New Wilmington, 24 grandchildren, and 21 great grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother Ralph Jackson of Middlefield, Ohio. She was prededed in death by two sisters and three brothers.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Marshall Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 10 at 8:00 P.M. with Rev. Ann Miller Smith of the Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church officiating. Friends will be received for one hour before the services. Online condolences may be sent to marshallsfh.com.
