Anna Piccus

Anna Piccus, 97, of Allen Court Wampum, died on Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at the Avalon Nursing Center following an extended illness.

Born March 7, 1913 in Hermony, Pa. (Allegheny County), she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary Jordano Mento.

She was married to the late Paul Piccus who died in 1978. Anna retired from Woolworths 5 &10. She was affiliated with the Queen of Heaven, St. Monica's Church.

She is survived by a sister, Josephine Shubert of Wampum and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, seven sisters and four brothers.

A Blessing Service will be held at the Marshall Funeral Home, Wampum on Friday, June 18, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. with Rev. Father Mark Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in the Good Shepard Cemetery in Monroeville.
