Elizabeth A. "Betty" Snyder

Elizabeth A. "Betty" Snyder, 85, of Allen Court, Wampum passed away on Monday, August 9, 2010 at the Ellwood City Hospital following a brief illness.

Born in Wampum on September 29, 1924, the daughter of George and Jenny Bennett Aromatorio. She was married for 36 years to Kenneth D. Snyder Sr. when he died in 1982.

Betty retired from Reeves Bank in Beaver Falls, where she was the Head Teller. She was a former member of the Queen of Heaven Church in Wampum. Currently she is a member of the Holy Redeemer Church in Ellwood City. She enjoyed reading and time spent with her grand and great grandchildren.

Survivors include two sons and daughter in laws; Kenneth D. (Lois) Snyder Jr. of Ephrata, PA, George (Graceann) Snyder of Ellwood City, six brothers and sisters in law: Angelo (Lillian) Aromatorio and Guy Aromatorio, both of Wampum, Ray (Leona) Aromatorio of Georgia, Bert (Martha) Aromatorio of Alabama, Gene (karen) Aromatorio of Florida, Ron (Toni) Aromatorio of Latrobe, three grandchildren and two great granddaughters.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister in infancy.

Friends will be received from 5 - 8 on Tuesday, August 10 at the Marshall Funeral Home, Main St. Wampum. A blessing service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 11 at 10:00 A.M.
