James H. Madden, Jr


James H. Madden, Jr was called from labor, to his Creator, on June 1, 2010 at Bedford Hospital, Bedford, Ohio. A member of the Third Baptist Church, Youngstown, Ohio, he was a native of Youngstown. As a professional business man, he was manager of Kroger's and was sales manager for hair grooming products throughout an area which encompassed six states.

He served, with honors, in the U.S. Marines and was a Mason. Having been preceded in death by his loving mother, Lafayette Madden and brave father, James H. Madden, Sr. and his loving sister, Sibyl Madden, he leaves to mourn his passing, his devoted wife, Erma Madden; three daughters, Benita Bowers, Brenda Patton and Bridgette Tassone; four sisters, Faye Matthews, Phyllis Mitchell, Ephenia Baraka and Ophelia Brown; eight grandchildren; a son in law, Michael Bowers; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and an aunt.

Funeral services for Mr. Madden will be held at the Marshall Funeral Home, Main St. Wampum on Saturday June 5, at 1:00 P.M. The service will be conducted by his longtime friend, Rev. Allen Lewis. The family will receive friends for one hour before the service. Interment will follow at Clinton Cemetery, where military rites will be observed by the Veterans Honor Guard.
