James P. Musser Sr.
James P. Musser Sr., 61, of Mosser Dr. New Castle (Shenango Twp.) died Friday, May 21, 2010 at the Butler VA Hospital following an illness.
Born July 23, 1948 in Canton, Ohio, he was the son of the late Cliff E. and Zelma St. Clair Musser.
He was married for 42 years to Linda Williams Musser, whom he married on December 26, 1968. Mr. Musser retired following thirty years of service as a conductor for CSX Railroad. He served in the US Navy from 1967 to 1970. James was a member of the VFW Post # 315 in New Castle and the Wampum Rod and Gun Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gambling.
In addition to his wife, Linda, he is survived by two children, James P. (Linda Imler) Musser Jr. of Volant, Hope Musser Beeler of New Castle, two brothers, Joe (Esther Kelly) Musser of Ellwood City, Chuck Musser of Florida, and six grandchildren, Bryanna, Darryl, Austin, Lee-Ann, David, and William.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visiting hours will be held from 5-8, Sunday, May 16 at the Marshall Funeral Home 200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City. Friends will also be received from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the funeral services at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home on Monday, May 24, 2010. Rev. James Latta will officiate. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Butler VA Hospital.
