Jerry Lee Grinnen

Jerry Lee Grinnen, 42, of Old Rt 18 Wampum (New Beaver Boro) died on Thursday, July 29, 2010 at his residence following a lengthy illness.

Born November 29, 1967 in New Castle, he was the son of the late Gerald C. "Jerry" Grinnen who passed away October 3, 2005 and Margaret "Peg" Grinnen of Wampum.

He was married to Vickie Ice Grinnen for 23 years.

Jerry operated Jerry's Greenhouse in Wampum for many years. He also logged and was a heavy equipment operator for Engineers Local #66. He was affiliated with the Wampum United Methodist Church. Jerry loved hunting and vegetable and flower gardening. He especially enjoyed time with his children and grandchildren.

In addition to his mother, Peg and his wife, Vickie, he is survived by two sons, Adam Grinnen and his fiancé, Shannon Hall of Orrtanna, Pa, Briar Patrick Grinnen at home, a daughter, Amanda Grinnen and her fiancé, John Baker of Wampum, sister, Sue (Ron) Anderson of Wampum and 2 grandchildren, Madison and John Baker III.

Visiting hours will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 on Saturday, July 31 at the Marshall Funeral Home, Main St. Wampum. Funeral Services will be held at the Marshall Funeral Home on Sunday, August 1, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. David Alleman of the Wampum Methodist Church officiating. Interment will follow in Clinton Cemetery.
