Lucy A. McLane


Lucy A. McLane, 91, of Carrywood Rd. Koppel (Big Beaver Boro) died on Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at her residence following a brief illness.

Born February 16, 1919 in Big Beaver Boro, she was the daughter of the late William S. and Sarah Jane Yoho Welsh.

She was married on November 20, 1941 to Floyd S. McLane who survives.

Mrs. McLane was an active member of the Enon Valley Bible Presbyterian Church. She was a member of the Daughters of Lydia Women's Group, sang in the choir, and she also served on the Hostess Committee. She was involved in Transport for Christ, a Trucker's Mission.

In addition to her husband, Floyd, she is survived by two daughters, Peggy Lee (William) Armstrong of Darlington Twp., Sarah Jane (Allan) Petrik of Enon Valley, one son, Dale W. (Linda) McLaneof Penn Hills, seven grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by seven sisters, Pearl McQuiston, Florence Freed, Viola Campbell, Clara Pearson, Naomi Welsh, Ruth Welsh, Ester McCalin, and two brothers, David G. Welsh and Dale Welsh who died in World War II..

Visiting hours will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 on Friday, August 6 at the Enon Valley Bible Presbyterian Church, Enon Valley Funeral Services will be held at the Enon Valley Bible Presbyterian Church on Saturday, August 7 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. David Sutton officating. Interment will follow in the Grand View Cemetery. Arrangement have been entrusted to the Marshall Funeral Home - Wampum.
