Richard Di Benedetto

Richard Di Benedetto, 82, of Shadyrest Rd. Ellwood City (Franklin Twp.) died on Friday, August 27, 2010 at his residence.

Born April 16, 1928 in Brooklyn, New York, he was the son of the late Louis and Florence Nelson Di Benedetto. Mr. Di Benedetto worked as a truckdriver for Weisglass Dairy.

A Veteran of the US he served in the Marines form 1945 to 1949.

Survivors include his wife, Ida Oeser Di Benedetto, five sons: Richard Jr. of Long Island, NY, William of Queens, NY, Anthony of Long Island, NY, Scott of Plattsburgh, NY and Michael of Olean, NY and numerous grandchildren.

The last of his family, he was preceded in death by ten brothers and sisters. A graveside service will take place at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies on Tuesday, August 31, 2010. Local arrangments have been entrusted to the Marshall Funeral Home, Ellwood City.
