Thelma Mae Parks Butch
Thelma Mae Parks Butch, 83, of Wampum Road, Ellwood City (Wayne Twp) died unexpectedly on Sunday, July 11, 2010 at the UPMC Hospital in Greenville.
Born July 28, 1926 in Cranberry, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Holly and Lora Carte Lowers.
She was married to the late Troy Parks and then to the late John Butch.
Thelmas was more than a homemaker, she was a unique decorator, hostess and a special giving mother. She enjoyed making quilts.
Survivors include two sons; Eugene Parks (Sandy) and Carl Parks (Joan), all of Ellwood City, one daughter, Wanda Parks Steele (Francis) of Espyville, PA, three sisters; Lenora Shaner of New Castle, Naomi Howell of Rochester, Kay Stuart of Virginia, two brothers; Grover and Owen Lowers, both of Ellwood City, thirteen grandchildren and many great and great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by both husbands, a son, Troy James Parks, a daughter, Elizabeth A. Rudy, four sisters, two brothers, a grandson, Robert Parks and a great-great granddaughter, Cory Haswell.
Visiting hours will be held from 2-4 and 7-9, Wednesday, July 14 at the Marshall Funeral Home 200 Fountain Ave., Ellwood City.
Funeral Services will be held at the Marshall Funeral Home on Thursday, JUly 15, 2010 at 11:00am. Interment will follow in Wurtemburg Cemetery.
