William D. "Bill" Lutz


William D. "Bill" Lutz, 82, of Hart St. New Castle, formerly of Wampum, died peacefully at home on Sunday, July 4, 2010.

Born February 2, 1928 in Ressiter, PA, he was the son of the late James E. and Elizabeth Pierce Lutz.

He was married for 44 years to the late Alberta J. Moore Lutz who died on August 9, 1990. He is survived by his second wife, Linda G. Bemis Lutz, who he married on February 27, 2010.

Bill retired after 42 years from Medusa Cement Co. where he was a shift foreman. He was Protestant by faith. A Veteran of the Army, he served during WW II in the Pacific Theatre. He enjoyed being in the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. Bill enjoyed spending time at his camp in Tidioute, but his most cherished time was spent with his family.

In addition to his wife, Linda, he is survived by six children: Georgia (Steve) Biega of Enon Valley, William J. (Connie) Lutz of Wampum, Bryan D. (Linda) Lutz of Wampum, Brenda (Leslie) Herb of Mt Jackson, Sharon (Kevin) Arbogast of South Beaver, Kimberly (Robert) Feezle of Hillsville, four step children: Denise Craft of Virginia, Judy Brown of Virginia, Dale Weilacher of Florida, and Boyd Weilacher of Tidioute, fourteen grandchildren, five step grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

The last of his family, he was preceded in death by a sister, Kathryn Ippolito and three brothers; Richard, Robert and James E. Lutz Jr.

Friends will be received from noon until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 on Wednesday, July 7 at the Clinton United Methodist Church. Rev. David A. Alleman will officiate. Interment will follow in the Clinton Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to the donor's favorite charity. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Marshall Funeral Home - Wampum.
