Antonia ”Toni” M. Moser, 76, of Ellwood City, passed away on Wednesday, July 28, 2021, at Quality Life Services in Grove City, PA.
“Toni”, as she was affectionately called, was born on December 22, 1944, in Ellwood City, PA., to the late Anthony “Tim” and Margaret “Magie” Nicholson Casuccio. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1962 with honors, and was a majorette for the school band, a skilled baton twirler. She was of Christian faith. Toni held various jobs throughout her life. During high school and into her young adult years, she modeled for Edmin’s Clothing in Ellwood City. She also took various college courses over the years. Toni, was also a foster mother. She raised her foster children along with her own boys. She enjoyed spending time with friends through card club, made delicious meatballs to go along with the controversial spaghetti and tuna fish, and was an avid complainer with a humorous and cynical wit.
She enjoyed reading and creative writing. Her passion for writing led to her job with the Ellwood City Ledger, where she worked for several years. She was also instrumental in the publication of Buttons & Bows, a weekly publication that she and her second husband, Charlie Moser wrote. She also served as editor of the book Ellwood City Houses and the People Who Lived in Them, written by Charles Moser.
“Toni” is survived by her five sons, Jeff Houk (Tina), Seminole, Florida; David (Debbie) Houk, Seminole, Florida; Timothy (Yvonne) Houk, North Sewickley Twp, Ellwood City; Anthony Moser (Lindsey), Bessemer, PA; Joey ”Bubba” (Jason Jackson) Moser, Columbus, OH; 10 grandchildren; 10 great- grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Jo Ferrigno of Perry Twp; a daughter-in-law, Peggy Houk of Beaver, PA; brother-in-law Linn Beachem; her step-children, James (Laurene) Moser, Atlanta; Judy (David) Rhing, Pittsburgh; Dawn (John) Woods, Conn; Doug (Andrew) Rubenoff, Conn.; her beloved cat Mya, and her many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles Moser; her sister, Stevie Beachem; her brother-in-law, Joe Ferrigno; her grandsons, Anthony Houk and Michael David Houk, granddaughter, Stefanie Moser and her step-son, Rick Moser.
Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, August 17 from 5 pm until the time of the Memorial Service at 8 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home, 200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City.
