Cheryl A. Gallaugher

Cheryl A. Gallaugher, 75, of South St., Ellwood City passed away Thursday, February 1, 2018 at her residence following a one year illness.

Born June 4, 1942 in Akron, Iowa, she was the daughter of the late Lester Heyl and Wilma Herzig Heyl Columbus. She was married for 57 years to Dean Gallaugher who survives.

Cheryl was a member of the Wurtemburg Presbyterian Church. She had worked at Ames and then at Dollar General for many years. She enjoyed bowling. Cheryl loved being a grandmother and great grandmother. She cherished time spent with them.

In addition to her husband, Dean, survivors include three sons, Jim (Amy) Gallaugher of Enid, Oklahoma, Cory (Laura) Gallaugher of Columbus, Ohio, David (Amy) Baldwin of Seven Fields; two daughters, Cindy (Randy) Houk of Columbia Falls, Montana, Wendy (Richard) Lisko of Ellwood City; four sisters, Janet Grimsley, JoEllen Baack, Margaret Lias, and Carla Vennard; ten grandchildren, Christopher, Amanda, Zackary, and Tristan Gallaugher, R.J., Dean, and Madelyn Lisko, Mason and Emma Baldwin, and Lindsey Rohrmann; two great grandchildren, Gunner and Willow Rohrmann; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Lester Jr. and George Heyl; and four sisters, Lois Muck, BeBe Smith, Velda Cosgrove, and Mary Wright.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday, February 5 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home 200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday at 11 am with her pastor, Rev. Rob Guy officiating.

Memorial Contributions may be made in Cheryl’s name to the Wurtemburg Presyberian Church .
