Curtis Stephenson

Curtis Stephenson, 83, of Turkey Hill Rd., Shenango Twp., passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2018 following an illness.

Born October 5, 1934 in Moravia, PA,  he was the son of the late Jesse Merit and Florence Blanche Allen Stephenson.

Curt worked at the P&LE Railroad and at CSX until his retirement on his 63rd birthday. A longtime member of the NRA and of the Wampum Rod and Gun Club, he enjoyed all shooting sports. He was a member of the A.B.A.T.E Motorcycle Club and the Johnson Club in Hillsville. He also enjoyed going to the Smithsonian in Washington D.C..

Survivors include a daughter, Cherie (Steve) Catale, of New Wilmington; two sisters, Edna Booher of Newton Falls, OH and Sarah Aiken of Princeton; a niece, Dian Hughes of New Castle; other nieces and nephews; three grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and a dear friend, Sandy Douglas.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew, Del Booher.

A Graveside Service will be held Friday. January 26, at 2 pm at the Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Princeton with Jim Nestasie Chaplan of A.B.A.T.E officiating.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
