Dean B. Gallaugher, 90, of Ellwood City passed away peacefully on Monday, July 13, 2026 at his residence.

Born May 15, 1936 in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late Carl and Mary Zirock Gallaugher. He was married to Cheryl Heyl Gallaugher for 57 years when she passed away on February 1, 2018.

Dean graduated from Lincoln High School and then proudly served in the Air Force from 1956-1960. For 30 years he worked as a foreman, first at B&W and later at Koppel Steel. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and playing golf.

Survivors include four sons, Shane Gallaugher of Portland, TX, James (Amy) Gallaugher of Enid, OK, Cory (Laura) Gallaugher of Columbus, OH, and David (Amy) Baldwin of Cranberry Twp; two daughters, Cindy (Randy) Houk of Columbia Falls, MT and Wendy (Richard) Lisko of Ellwood City; six grandsons, CJ Gallaugher, RJ (Kara) Lisko, and Dean (Carsen) Lisko, Zach Gallaugher, Tristan Gallaugher and Mason Baldwin; seven granddaughters, Amanda Gallaugher, Lindsey (Bob) Garrett, Madelyn Lisko, Shaina (Levi) Miller, Madison Gallaugher and Emma Baldwin; two great-grandsons, Gunner Rohrmann and Richie Lisko; three great-granddaughters, Willow Rohrmann, Marygrace Lisko, and Alaina Miller; one sister: Shirley Phillips of Pittsburgh.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his sisters Helen Clark and Betty Weinand and his brother Edward Gallaugher.

The family would like to thank Casie Lewis, his caregiver, for the years of care she provided, Dean adored her and thought of her as a daughter.

Friends and family will be received on Thursday July 23, 2026 from 3 until the Funeral Service at 7 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home, 200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City. Pastor Terry Ross of Hospice will officiate. Interment will be in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park at a later date.
