Donald A. Lutz, 88, of North Sewickley Twp. passed away Thursday, August 28, 2025, at Heritage Valley - Beaver following a brief illness.
Born March 17, 1937, in Hoytdale, he was the son of the late Daniel and Hilda Deal Lutz. He was married to Karen Abraham Lutz.
Donald worked as a maintenance supervisor for B&W and Koppel Steel in Ambridge until his retirement. He was a member of Concord United Methodist Church and attended the First Christian Church in Ellwood City. An avid outdoorsman, Donald was a skilled fisherman and hunter. He particularly enjoyed fishing at Pymatuning and hunting at his camp in Tionesta. Additionally, he enjoyed gardening and traveling, especially to Alaska. His most cherished moments were spent with family, especially his grand and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife Karen; two daughters, Julia Rider and Jackie Thames; son, Don (Annette) Lutz II; son-in-law, Joel Munn; 13 grandchildren; Jessica (Caleb) Rider, Nicole (Chris) Carofino, Tyler (Christy) Thames, Bailey (Steven) Turnage, Brenna Thames, Morgan (David) Peffer, Maddie (Conor) Thumm, Emilee (Travis Hackathorn) Lutz, Matthew Salisbury, Seth and Natalee Munn, and Jackson and McKenzie Selepec; 11 great-grandchildren, Cole, Cooper, Gabriel, Aurora, Owen, Elliott, Evelyn, Levi, Jackson, Weston, and Lennon; step-daughter, Caroline (Jeremy) Selepec and step-son, Bryan Abraham.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Karen Bailey Lutz on November 9, 2014; daughter, Michelle Munn; brother, Wayne Lutz, and son-in-law, Marvin Thames.
Friends and family will be received on Tuesday September 2, 2025, from 6 to 8 pm and on Wednesday from 10 until the Funeral Service at 11 am at the Marshall Funeral Home, 341 Main Street Wampum. Pastor Tom O'Brien of the First Christian Church will officiate. Interment will follow in Clinton Cemetery.
