Douglas E. "Bunger" Curry, 63, of New Beaver Borough passed away Thursday, May 8, 2025, at his residence following a courageous battle with cancer.

Born August 15, 1961, in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late Frederick P. Curry and Martha Rorabaugh Curry of New Beaver Borough.

After graduating from Lawrence County Vo-Tech, Bunger worked as a self-employed mason and bricklayer. Methodist by faith, he was a member of the Ellwood City Moose and the Johnson Club in Hillsville. In addition to his masonry skills, he was an avid and accomplished baseball and softball player, lastly playing for the Ellwood City Christ Presbyterian Church team and loved spending time hunting.

Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Sue Ehalt Curry; mother, Martha; two sons, Jarrett "Beau" (Tia) Curry of Wampum and Rick (Kristin) Curry of Edinburg; four grandchildren, Belle, Brady, Evie, and Olivia; two brothers, Paul (Sandy) Curry of New Castle and Glen (Lisa) Curry of Hopewell Twp, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father Fred.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday May 12, 2025, from 4 to 7 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home 341 Main Street Wampum.

Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday May 13, 2025, at 11:00 am with Pastor Dave Keppen officiating. Interment will follow in Pinewood Memorial Park.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the New Beaver Volunteer Fire Department.
