John S. McGrady

John S. McGrady, 64, of Ellwood City, PA, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 30, 2025.

Mr. McGrady was born on February 8, 1961 at Mary Evans Hospital. John graduated from Lincoln High School in 1979, from the School of Computer Technology in 1981, and the Pittsburgh Diesel Institute in 1993. John had many jobs including IT Tech Support, Restaurant Manager and Pizza Baker. John and his wife Polly also bred pedigreed German Shepherd and Shar Pei dogs. John was an avid Steelers fan and enjoyed showing his 1956 Chevy at car shows.

John is survived by his son Jared McGrady (Mary Grace) of Navarre, FL, daughter Jordan (Jim) Alvarado of Vail, AZ, grandson Caleb McGrady, mother Joanne C. McGrady, brother Michael McGrady, sister Barbara Johnston of West Columbia, SC, cousin Nancy Zito, and many other cousins, nephews, and nieces.

John was preceded in death by his wife Polly (Houk) McGrady, father Robert R. McGrady, sisters Roxanne Schock and Dorothy Houk, sisters-in-law Susan McGrady and Patricia Houk, and brothers-in-law Randall Johnston and Thomas Houk.

John had been a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church.

Arrangements were handled privately by Marshall Funeral Home, Ellwood City, PA.
