Katherine C. Oliver

Katherine C. "Kathy" Oliver, 73, of Indiana PA passed away Saturday, September 6, 2025, at Beacon Ridge Nursing Home.

Born March 7, 1952, in Ellwood City, she was the daughter of the late Leonard S. and Patricia C. Mears Oliver.

Kathy graduated from Lincoln High School in 1970. Following high school, she went to IUP where she earned her B.A. in French and then her master's degree in Counselor Education. She was first employed by Indiana County Dept. of Human Services as a Case Manager and then for the Indiana Community Guidance Center as a Case Manager for the chronically mentally ill until her retirement. She also taught a Building Self Esteem Class at IUP. Active in the community, Kathy volunteered with the Democratic Party and the Mental Health Association both in Indiana.

Survivors include sisters, Karen Oliver of Ellwood City and Karla Oliver Vento of Fort Walton Beach, FL; three brothers, Matthew (Jayne) Oliver of Warwick, RI, Richard Oliver, and Steve Oliver both of Ellwood City; numerous nieces and nephews; her close friends, Cindy, Janet, and Carol; and her Shih Tzu, Kaiko whom she lovingly called velcro because she was never far from her side.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death her sister-in-law; Brenda Martin Oliver; nephew, Robert "JR" Vento and her two rescue Shih Tzu's, KaCee and Koko.

Per her wishes no services will be held.

The family would like to thank her home care aides Amy and Sharon for their kind and compassionate care.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Marshall Funeral Home, Ellwood City.
