Kim R. "Goat" Goatley, 68, of East Liverpool (formerly of Chewton) passed away Sunday, October 20, 2024 at Valley Oaks Care Center in East Liverpool.
Born January 11, 1956 in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late Gus Leonard and Dorothy Penney Goatley. He was married to Anita English Goatley when she passed away on May 17, 2022.
Kim graduated from Lincoln High School in 1974 where he was a member of the track team. A talented athlete, Kim set the triple jump record at Lincoln that still stands to this day. Following high school, he graduated from Pittsburgh Culinary Institute as a chef and worked at Seven Oaks Country Club. He was an avid golfer, a boxing enthusiast, and loved to cook.
Survivors include two sons, Brandon (Shannon) English of Industry, and Matthew Goatley of East Liverpool, OH; two sisters, Michelle (James) Dashield of Beaver Falls and Traci (Julius) Moore of Encino, CA; brother, Leonard Goatley of Ellwood City; nine grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and good friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Anita and brother Craig Goatley.
Friends will be received on Friday October 25, 2024 from 2:00 pm until the Funeral Service at 4:00 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home, 341 Main Street Wampum. Rev. James D. Johnson of the Risen Savior Church in Ellwood City will officiate. Interment will be in Clinton Cemetery.
The family would like to thank James Cancer Center in Columbus, East Liverpool Hospital, Valley Oaks Care Center, and Buckeye Hospice for their kind and compassionate care.
