Martha M. Ippolito

Martha M. Ippolito, 86 of Wampum, went to her eternal home on Sunday, July 1, 2018 to be with her Lord whom she loved. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt who always put others before herself. She was truly a blessing to her family and friends, creating bonds that can never be broken. Martha will live on forever in our hearts as we celebrate her life and remember the joyous times spent in her presence.

Born July 30, 1931 in Dallas, West Virginia, Martha was the daughter of the late Charles C. and Melba E. Strickler Howard. She was married to Richard T. Ippolito for 50 years when he passed away July 18, 2003.

Martha graduated from Lincoln High School with the Class of 1950. She retired in July of 1987 from the former Citizen Bank which became Mellon Bank in New Castle where she was the head teller. Martha was a member of the Wampum Presbyterian Church. Her most cherished time was spent with family.

She is survived by a daughter, Julie E. (Joseph) Massaro, a granddaughter, Jenna E. Massaro, and a sister, Mildred Blough, all of Ellwood City. As well as a brother in-law, John A. Kiefel of Downingtown, PA and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, July 5 from 4-8 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home, Wampum. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 11 am with Rev. Elizabeth Wallace of the Wampum Presbyterian Church officiating. Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery.
