Mary Jo Vesco, 85, of Johns Lane, Wayne Twp. passed away Sunday, June 21, 2026 at St. Elizabeth Hospital.

Born September 12, 1940 in Ellwood City, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Anna Johns Babcock. She was married to Robert E. Vesco for 56 years when he passed away on December 22, 2013.

Mary Jo attended Lincoln High School and earned her GED in 1968 from Riverside. A caring and compassionate person, she dedicated many years to home health care. She also worked at the Ellwood City Knitting Mill and Airway.

She was a member of the Wampum Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed a special monthly card club called "Mothers Regular Sessions" that began when she was 18 and remained a monthly tradition. She also loved quilting, was an avid dog owner and bowler, and in the summer she loved picking blueberries. Most of all, she cherished time spent with her family.

Survivors include two daughters, Kim (John) Schuster of Wayne Twp. and Lynn (Craig) Bruton of North Carolina; nine granddaughters, Autumn (Kenneth), Erica (Todd), Anna (Andrew), Eliza, Chrissy (Brian), Rhiannon (William), Mary (Ben), Jenny (Dustin), and Allison (Ted); three grandsons, Josh (Kayla), Logan, and Phillip; 20 great-grandchildren, Jose, Tripp, Jordan, Robert, Skyler, Sofia, Henry, Birdie, Luke, Mack, Rhiannon, Jax, Claira, William, Charlotte, Calab, Lyla, Dahlia, Rhett, and Knox; sister, Judy Kindle of Ellwood City brother, Robert "Butch" Babcock of Butler, and her card club ladies, Ruth Ann, Karen, Kathy, and Stana.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Cynthia Jo Simpson in 2001, and her dog and constant companion Lily.

Friends and family will be received on Thursday June 25, 2026 from 10:00 am until the Funeral Service at 11:00 am at the Wampum Presbyterian Church with Rev. Elizabeth Wallace officiating
