Paul Daniel Shirley, 51, of Fombell passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 2, 2026 at his residence following a long, courageous battle with cancer.
Born April 1, 1975 in Latrobe, he was the son of Kenneth and Emma Jane Warren Shirley of Latrobe.
Daniel graduated from Latrobe High School and from Penn State University. He began his career at Carrera Corporation in Latrobe, where he worked in manufacturing for 10 years. He then spent over two decades with the interventional radiology and X-ray departments at AHN. Most recently, he worked in medical sales at INARI.
Daniel attended the Trinity Lutheran Church. He enjoyed the outdoors and staying active, especially camping, hiking, bowling, golfing, and watching dirt track racing. He also enjoyed trips to the casino and traveling. An animal lover, Daniel was a kind and caring person.
Survivors include his parents, his beloved wife of seven years Emily Beachem Shirley; his daughter whom he loved spending time with, Lyla-Ann Jane Shirley; sister, Chris (Dan) Keefe of Latrobe; brother, Ray Piper of Latrobe; in-laws, Dennis (Barb) Beachem of Ellwood City; brother-in-law, Justin Beachem of Ellwood City, and several nieces and nephews, Kayla, Aaron, Travis, and Abby.
Friends and family will be received on Monday July 6, 2026 from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home, 200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City. Funeral Services will be held at the Trinity Lutheran Church on Tuesday July 7, at 11 am. Pastor David Saylor will officiate. Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the donor's charity of choice.
