It is with great sadness that the family of Richard R. (Rich) Moran Jr., 73 of Ellwood City, Pa announces his unexpected passing on Sunday, April 9, 2023 at the J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown WV. He was born April 4, 1950 in Bellevue, Pa, the son of the late Richard R. Sr. and Nancy (Dickinson) Moran.
Rich will forever be remembered by family and friends for his passion for cars, love of animals and tinkering in his garage. Rich was the true definition of hard-working and dedication. Not only to his career but his family. He was the first to offer a hand in any project as well as his opinion whether it was favorable or not.
Rich was a veteran of the United States Air Force and worked his entire career in the automotive industry. He is well known by family and friends for his quick wit and keen sense of humor.
He is survived by his mother Nancy of Pittsburgh; his loving and devoted wife of 48 years Deborah J. (Barna) Moran; his four children, Shawn (Tina Marie) Moran of Colorado, Jennifer LeGue Moran of Tennesee, Ryan (Hope Laughlin) Moran and Victoria (Charles) Reagle both of Ellwood City. His grandchildren Samantha, Haley and Xander.
Rich is preceded in death by his father, Richard R. Moran Sr., and his maternal & paternal grandparents as well as his uncle Burt.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, April 15th from 2 pm to 5 pm at Word Alive Church 124 Scenic Blvd Ellwood City.
Memorial Contributions may be made in Richard’s name to the ASPCA, Local Humane Society or by donating blood to the American Red Cross.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Marshall Funeral Home, Ellwood City.
