Robert J. Mcconahy

Robert J. McConahy, 80, of Boyd School Rd., Wampum (Shenango Twp.) passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at Curahealth – Heritage Valley Hospital following a one month illness.

Born October 25, 1936 in New Castle, he was the son of the late Robert L. and Ida Glenala Johnston McConahy. He was married for 47 years to Nancy Barber McConahy who survives.

Bob was member of the Local Teamsters # 261, he drove truck and retired from Russell Trucking. He was a member of the Clinton United Methodist Church. Bob enjoyed farming, hunting, and fishing. He also enjoyed riding horses and his Goldwing Motorcycle.

In addition to his wife, Nancy, survivors include four daughters, Cindy (Eugene) Hairhoger of Wampum, Sandy Moyer and Dusty McConahy, both of Shenango Twp, Kimberly Reed of Gahana, OH; three sons, Robert J. (Christina) McConahy Jr. and James C. McConahy, both of Shenango Twp., Donald E. (Laurie) Reed of Ellwood City; fourteen grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Private Funeral Services will be held at the Marshall Funeral Home, Wampum on Saturday, November 26 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Gene Hydrick of Chewton Christian Church officiating. Interment will follow in Clinton Cemetery.
