Ronald C. Burry, 67, of Franklin Township, a prominent Beaver County Dairy Farmer, passed away Thursday, July 31, 2025, at UPMC McCandless following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born December 10, 1957, in Beaver Falls, he was the son of the late William “Cy” E. and Adelaide I. (Sternquist) Burry. He married Diane L. (McConahy) Burry on October 22, 1976.
Ron, a 1976 Riverside graduate, was very passionate about farming and loved working on his dairy farm with his family. Along with farming, Ron worked at Robinson Fans and was an affiliate of Lillyville Church of God. He enjoyed working in the fields as well as pulling his beloved Oliver tractors. Ron’s other interests included taking care of his pony, Missy, raising rabbits, watching football, and playing volleyball. Most of all, he cherished time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Ron is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Diane; two sons, Jarrod (Debbie) and R. Michael (Megan) Burry both of Ellwood City; daughter, Erin (Levi) Shetler of Beaver Falls; seven grandchildren, Justin, Evan, Wyatt, Adelaide, Ava, Emeline, and Beau; one great-grandson, Maynard; brother, Robert (Debbie) Burry of New Castle; mother-in-law, Laura McConahy of North Sewickley; brother-in-law, Paul McConahy Jr of Penn Hills.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Paul McConahy, and brother-in-law, Mark McConahy.
Friends and family will be received on Sunday, August 3, 2025, from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm, and Monday, August 4, 2025, from 10 am with a Funeral Service at 11 am at the Marshall Funeral Home, 200 Fountain Avenue, Ellwood City. Pastor Dennis Arndt of the Lillyville Church of God will officiate. Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Ron always said if he won the lottery, he would give it all to St. Jude.
