Heaven gained a beautiful angel as Rosemarie Moser, 94, of Ellwood City, passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at her daughter's home in Struthers, Ohio.
Born October 20, 1931, in Ellwood City, she was the daughter of the late Damiano and Brigida Lopiano Viccari. She was married to Bill Moser for 59 years when he passed away on October 26, 2012.
Rosemarie’s love of cooking was evident as she worked many years in the cafeteria at Riverside High School. After retirement, she spent summers at Camp Allegheny preparing meals for campers and staff - especially her famous pepperoni bread. She enjoyed hosting dinners for friends and family, shopping, gardening, traveling, and decorating her home. Above all, her most cherished moments were with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Yet her love extended far beyond her own family, and to countless others she was simply-and proudly-“Grandma Rosie.” She was a longtime member of Divine Grace Parish, Holy Redeemer Church in Ellwood City.
She will be missed by many but especially by her two daughters, Valerie (Marty) Steele-Sosnoski of Struthers, OH and Stacey (Paul) Leech of Ellwood City; three grandchildren; Ashley (Tony) Jones, Maressa (Nick) Valentino, and Madison DeLisio; nine great-grandchildren; Kamryn (Jared) Kirk, Konner and Ava Flesher, Brynlee, Baylee, Noah and Abie Jones, Elliana and Dominick Valentino; two great-great-grandchildren; Roselynn and Finley Kirk; brother, Donald (Sondra) Viccari and sister, Donna Rickert both of Ellwood City, plus many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Kimberly Moser, great-grandson, Brock Jones, five sisters; Mary Fabian, Elizabeth LaCava, Antoinette Poerio, Viola Mine, and Jean Cummings and seven brothers; Phillip, Ralph, Tony, Patsy, Dominic, Frank, and Bobby Viccari.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, from 3 to 7 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home, 200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Divine Grace Parish, Holy Redeemer Church on Wednesday January 28, 2026, at 11 am. Interment will follow in Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
