Sandra A. Pavkovich, born on March 14, 1947, in Ellwood City, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on November 25, 2025, at Northland Heights, leaving behind a legacy of dedication, compassion, and commitment to her community. She was the cherished daughter of the late Dominick and Jennie Scala Ross; the beloved wife of the late George A. Pavkovich, who she married on February 24, 1968 and who predeceased her on May 15, 2010; and a revered sister to Jean Nicoletta Unterbrink and her brother, Anthony Ross and his husband Peter Weiland as well as Donald Ross and brother-in-law, Raymond Unterbrink.

With a long and distinguished banking career, Sandra made her mark at Equibank, Integra, and ultimately retired from National City. Her professional journey was imbued with diligence and excellence, reflecting a profound capability that earned her respect among colleagues and clients alike.

An alumna of Lincoln High School, Class of 1965, Sandra remained actively engaged in her faith as a devoted member of Divine Grace Parish Holy Redeemer Church. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, guiding her through every endeavor and fostering her deep sense of community service.

Sandra was not merely a banker; she was a fierce advocate for her community, volunteering tirelessly for various organizations, including the Rotary Club of Ambridge and Beaver Falls, as well as the Kiwanis Club of Beaver Falls. Her extraordinary contributions to the community garnered her accolades, including a citation from the House of Representatives of Pennsylvania for her work with the Crime Solvers in Beaver County, an organization she joined in 1985 and later served as president from 1990 to 1997. Her tireless efforts in organizing banquets and fundraisers were instrumental in shaping the community's fabric, earning her the citizenship award from the governor for 1995-1996 and the Governor’s Crime Prevention Volunteer Recognition Award in 1995.

Sandra is survived by her adoring daughters, Dominique "Nicque" Karis and Amelia J. Sloss, both of whom reflect her unwavering spirit. She found joy in her family, including her sons-in-law, Adam Karis and James Sloss, and cherished moments with her granddaughter who was the light of her life, Addyson Olivia Karis. Additionally, the companionship of her beloved cat, Louis, provided comfort and warmth at home and her granddog Baby Murphy Sloss brought her great joy.
