William H. Tillia Jr.

William H. Tillia Jr., 85, of Martin Rd., New Castle (Princeton) passed away Monday, September 3, 2018 at the Southwest General Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio following a brief illness.

Born June 22, 1933 in Portersville, he was the son of the late William H. and Mary Elva Cornelius Tillia Sr. He was married to Betty Croco Tillia for 65 years who survives.

Bill retired in 1986 from Babcock and Wilcox, Koppel Works where he was a mechanic for 30 years. He was a member of the Portersville Christian and Missionary Alliance Church. He and Betty enjoyed spending their winters in Florida. Bill also enjoyed playing horseshoes, camping, fishing, and collecting antiques. His most cherished time was spent with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Betty, survivors include a daughter, Cheryl Johnston of Portersville; two sons, James Tillia of Princeton, Timothy (Cheryl) Tillia of Strongsville, Ohio; two sisters, Donna Zona of New Castle, Dolly Hartsuff of Florida; 7 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Richard Tillia, a sister, Mary Lou Cunningham and son in law, Robert Johnston.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday September 6, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home 200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 11 am. Entombment will follow in the Slippery Rock Church Mausoleum.
