Charles M. "Chuck" Kosior


Charles M. "Chuck" Kosior, 65, of Mosser Dr. New Castle died on Friday, November 4, 2011 at the VA Medical Center in Butler following an extended illness.

Born July 22, 1946 in Chewton, he was the son of the late Edward and Sophie Modliszewski Kosior.

He was married for 10 years to Susan Fitzgerald Kosior who passed away in 1982.

He retired following 40 years of service from Medusa Cement in Wampum where he was a pack house leader. He was a member of Queen of Heaven Parish. Chuck served in the Army during the Vietnam Era. He was a member of the Polish White Eagles in Chewton and the VFW in Kane PA. He was part of the Kosior Bros #8 Race Team and a Minnesota Viking fan. Chuck enjoyed NASCAR, hunting, baseball, bird watching, and landscaping.

Survivors include a son, Charles M "Mike" Kosior Jr. of Pittsburgh and a brother, Paul "Fred" Kosior of Chewton.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by eight brothers; Richard, Robert, Bernard, Tom, David, John, Ted, and Edward "Don" Kosior, and two sisters; Marcie Shlusser and a sister in infancy

Visiting hours will be held on Monday November 7, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 at the Marshall Funeral Home 341 Main Street Wampum.

A Blessing Service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at 11:00 am.

Interment will follow in Holy Redeemer Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by the Veterans Honor Guard.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Tony Stewart Foundation 5644 W 74th St, Indianapolis, In 46278 or the American Cancer Society.
