Esther F. Weeter

Esther F. Weeter, 100, formerly of Ellwood City died on Sunday, December 25, 2011 at the Evergreen Nursing Center following a lengthy illness.

Born February 7, 1911 in Perry Twp., she was the daughter of the late John F. and Clara Buquo Bowers .

She was married for 33 years to Clarence O. Weeter who passed away February 20, 1965 .

Esther was the housekeeping supervisor at both the former and the current Ellwood City Hospitals. She formerly attended Immanuel United Church of Christ and the Calvin Presbyterian Church. She was a former member of the BVM Golden Agers. She enjoyed quilting.

Survivors include a daughter - Donna (Richard) Cook of Ellwood City; two grandchildren - Richard (Terri) Cook, Kristen (Nicholas) Guarneschelli; and five great grandchildren - Justin, Jason, and Jordan Cook, and Kristen and Seve Guarneschelli.

The last of her family she was preceded in death by four sisters - Alma Majors, Edna Mengel, Verna Daufen, Helen Wimer and one brother - John Bowers.

Private funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at the Marshall Funeral Home - Ellwood City with Rev. Dr. Daniel Stinson officiating.

Interment will follow in Castleview Memorial Park.
