Frances "KiKi" Kardish
Frances "KiKi" Kardish, 85, of Springfield Rd. Poland, Ohio died on Saturday, June 4, 2011 at her residence following a brief illness. Born March 16, 1926 in Ellwood City, PA, she was the daughter of the late Pericles K. and Ferande Boutry Santis. She was married to the late Stanley J. Kardish who passed away on September 22, 1994. Kiki graduated from Lincoln High School in 1944. She worked as a bank teller at People's Bank and was the office manager for Kardish Insurance Agency, both in Poland, Ohio. She was an avid golfer and bridge player. Survivors include 2 sons - Mark (Maureen) Kardish of Portland, OR, John (Deborah) Kardish of Dublin, OH; 3 sister in laws - Sue Kardish and Betty Kardish, both of Ellwood City and Fran (Dan) Ulicky of Parma, Ohio; three grandchildren - Grant, Christopher, and Nicholas Kardish and 2 step grandchildren -Amanda and Courtney Meyer. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, James Kardish in 2009. Visiting hours will be held on from 5 - 8 on Tuesday June 7, 2011 and from 10 until the time of the funeral service at 11 on Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at the Marshall Funeral Home, 200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City, PA. Rev. Peggy Suhr-Barkley of the Trinity Lutheran Church will officiate. Interment will follow in Locust Grove Cemetery.
