Henry A. Kumrow


Henry A. Kumrow, 79, of State Rt. 18 New Castle (North Beaver Twp.) died on Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at his residence following an illness.

Born February 6, 1932 in Moravia, PA, he was the son of the late August Henry and Edna Viola Stephenson Kumrow .

He was married for 50 years to Mary Jane Papp Kumrow, who survives.

Henry was a retired self employed truck driver. He was a member of the Clinton United Methodist Church. An Army Veteran, he served during the Korean Conflict. His most cherished time was with his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Mary Jane, survivors include 3 daughters - Laurie (Doug) Miller of Wampum, Mary (Mark) Callahan of Coraopolis, PA, Valarie (Doug) Black of Mechanicsburg, PA; 5 grandchildren - Dougie and Chase Miller, Connor Callahan, Jordyn and Taylor Black; 1 sister - Bonnie (Tom) Wright of Butler; and a sister in law - Josephine Kumrow of Shenango Twp.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jamie August Kumrow in infancy and a brother, Gary Lee Kumrow.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday September 22, 2011 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home 341 Main Street Wampum.

Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Friday, September 23, 2011 at 11:00 am with his pastor, Rev. David Alleman officiating. Military rites will be offered by the Veterans Honor Guard.

Interment will follow in Clinton Cemetery.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Clinton United Methodist Church.
