John S. Fritzman


John S. Fritzman, 83, of Northwestern Drive Ellwood City (Wayne Twp.) died on Sunday, October 30, 2011 at the VNA Hospital in Butler following a three year illness.

Born January 30, 1928 in Ellwood City, PA, he was the son of the late John and Tressa Obermeyer Fritzman .

He was married for 59 years to Dora S. Vilhuber Fritzman who passed away on October 19, 2007.

John worked for over 30 years at the US Steel Tube Mill in Ellwood City. He also worked for a short time at Herr-Voss. A Veteran of the Air Force, he served his country from 1945 to 1948. He was a member of Holy Redeemer Church. John enjoyed woodworking and gardening.

Survivors include a son - John (Kathy) Fritzman of Coudersport, PA; a daughter - Peggy DiFrischia of Portersville, PA; 6 grandchildren - Becky Keys, Ginny McGuinley, Karl Fritzman, Julie Fritzman, Brett DiFrischia and Stephanie Clauss, and 8 great grandchildren - Grace Fritzman, Caleb, Leah and Josiah Keys, Jenna and Alex DiFrischia, and Madison and Olivia Clauss.

He was preceded in death by 4 siblings - Lisi Peterhansel, Agnes Lalley, Paul Fritzman, Margie Fritzman, and a son in law - Al DiFrischia.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday November 2, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 at the Marshall Funeral Home 200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, November 3 at Holy Redeemer Church.

Interment will follow in Holy Redeemer Cemetery. Military rites will be offered by the Veterans Honor Guard
