Leona B. Hangst

Leona B. Hangst, 85, formerly of Mt. Vernon Dr. Ellwood City died on Thursday, March 3, 2011 at the Overlook Medical Clinic in New Wilmington.

Born September 25, 1925 in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late John and Amanda Ridenbaugh Hangst.

Leona was a secretary for Brooks Plumbing in Ellwood City for many years. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1943 and was an avid Steeler Fan.

Survivors include two nieces - Jackie Hangst of Ellwood City, Amy (Jim) Love of Ellwood City, a nephew - Jeffrey (Lilly) Hangst of Geneva, Switzerland; four great nieces and nephews and a sister in law - Stephanie Hangst of Ellwood City.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Hangst.

Private funeral services were held. Interment will be held in the Slipper Rock Cemetery.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Marshall Funeral Home - Ellwood City.
