Madolyn F Majors


Madolyn F Majors, 79, of Chewton died on Tuesday November 15 , at the Mary Evans Unit of the Ellwood City Hospital following an extended illness.

Born February 24, 1932 in Ellwood City, PA, she was the daughter of the late Carl V and Lina M Burr Main.

She was married on August 4, 1951 to the late Aubrey C. (Ted) Majors Sr who died on February 26, 1990

Madelyn attended Lincoln High School and worked for many years at the Ellwood City Hospital as a nurses aide and later as a home health aide. She was a loving caring person who will be missed by many.

Survivors include 2 sons - Rick (Barbara) Majors, Mark (Debbie) Majors Chewton; 3 sisters - Nina Freed, Leona Ziegler, Carolyn Smith, Brother Madison (Sonny) Main, all of Ellwood City
Six grandchildren, Colleen Majors, New York; Travis Majors, North Carolina; Tara Majors, Chewton; Jessica Majors, London, UK; and Ashley and Brittany Majors, Chewton. Three great-grandchildren complete her family circle.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Aubrey C. Majors Jr. and Terry A. Majors, as well as a brother, Bidwell Main, and two sisters, Ethel Streckeisen Piper and Emma R. Druschel .

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday November 17, 2011 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and on Thursday, November 17, 2011 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home, Inc. 341 Main Street Wampum.

Funeral Services will be held on November 18, at 2:00 pm with Dick Allan, Pastor officiating.

Interment will follow in the Slippery Rock Cemetery.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Challenges, Office on Aging New Castle.
