Margaret S. Nagel


Margaret S. Nagel, 93, of Foch St. Ellwood City died on Monday, December 5, 2011 at the Ellwood City Hospital following an extended illness.

Born March 18, 1918 in Wayne Twp. she was the daughter of the late William R. and Ethel Washington Walker.

She was married for 60 years to Ralph A. Nagel when he passed away on October 24, 1998.

Margaret graduated from Lincoln High School in 1937. She was an active member of the Wurtemburg United Methodist Church. She was involved with the Weslyn Sunday School Class and the Women's Society at the Church. She was also a member of the Kennagers in Portersville..

Survivors include 2 sons - William (Georgie) Nagel of Ellwood City, James (Barbara) Nagel of Darlington; 2 daughters - Norma Beatrice Koach of Ellwood City, Shirley (Daniel) States of Muskogee, OK; a sister - Laurine Wolfe of Ellwood City; a sister in law - Gladys Walker of Ellwood City; 9 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 3 brothers - Frank, Robert and Willard Walker; 2 sisters - Edna Copper and Hazel Cogley, and a son in law, Walter Koach.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday December 7, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 at the Marshall Funeral Home 200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City.

Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, December 8, 2011 at 11:00 am with Rev. Bruce Mould officiating.

Entombment will follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Wurtemburg United Methodist Church.
