Phyllis I. McConahy

Phyllis I. McConahy, 75, of Liberty St. Wampum (New Beaver Boro) died on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at the Allegheny General Hospital following a lengthy illness.

Born February 28, 1936 in New Beaver, she was the daughter of the late Ralph W. and Ida M. Smith Brommer.

Phyllis had formerly worked at Reliable Luggage and Conley's Motel. She enjoyed auctions and flea markets..

Survivors include 3 daughters - Cindy (Eugene) Hairhoger of Newport, Sandy J. Moyer of Shenango Twp., Dustie McConahy and her companion, William L. Hill of Shenango Twp.; a sister - Pearl E. (Harold) McConnell of Newport; a brother - Ralph I. "Carbite" (Pauline) Brommer of Newport; 6 grandchildren - Eugene D. Hairhoger, Robert C. (Emily) Hairhoger, Rachel, Amber and Ray Moyer, and Stephanie Hill; and one great granddaughter - Jocelin Hairhoger.

She was preceded in death by a brother and sister in law - Samuel M. and Bernice Brommer and a son in law - Ray S. Moyer Jr.

Private visitation will be held on Friday December 30, 2011 from 5:00 pm until the time of the funeral service at 7:00 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home. 341 Main Street Wampum.

Pastor Dick Allen will officiate. Interment will follow in the Graceland Cemetery.
