Robert F. Donley


Robert F. Donley, 79, of Harmony Fisher Ave. Ellwood City (Franklin Twp.) died on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at the Butler Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.

Born October 5, 1931 in Butler, PA, he was the son of the late Herbert and Susie Dillon Donley Sr.

He was married on May 5, 1953 to Hilda Egerer Donley, who survives.

Robert retired in 1985 after 35 years of service at Beaver Falls B & W Power Plant. He was affiliated with the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, and his dog Benji.

In addition to his wife, Hilda, he is survived by three daughters - Kathleen Restid of Chewton, Barbara Rupert of Houston, TX, Darlene Donley of Ellwood City; son - Robert Donley Jr. of Center, PA; two sisters - Goldie Rugh of Ellwood City, Linda Gordon of St. Petersburg, FL, brother, Edward (Charlene) Donley of Ellwood City and two grandchildren; Michael Restid and Anthony Rupert.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Earl, Herbert "Gene" Jr., LeRoy Donley and a sister, Shirley Dean.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday April 1, 2011 from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 at the Marshall Funeral Home 200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City.

Funeral Services will be held at the Marshall Funeral Home on Saturday, April 2, 2011 at 10:00 am. with Dennis Goss officiating.

Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery.
