Ruth Bolland

Ruth Bolland, 85, died on Thursday, October 6, 2011 at her residence in the Passavant Retirement Center in Zelienople.

Born August 28, 1926 in Ellwood City, PA, she was the daughter of James F. and Esther C. Shaffer Marshall.

She was married for 53 years to the late Paul S. Bolland who passed away on March 28, 2001.

Ruth was a longtime employee at Sears in the Beaver Valley Mall with over 25 years of service. Protestant by faith, she enjoyed camping, traveling, and home decorating..

Survivors include a son - Larry (Debby) Bolland of Franklin Park, PA; two sisters - Kay Thompson and Martha L. Burns, one brother - William (Harriet) Marshall, all of Ellwood City; three grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.

Ruth was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert c. and Lawrence Marshall.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday October 7, 2011 from 2 -4 and 7-9 at the Marshall Funeral Home 200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City.

Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, October 7, 2011 at 11:00 am with Rev. John Hoogerbrugge of the Passavant Center officiating.

Interment will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
