Sara T. Fleischer

Sara T. Fleischer, 91, formerly of Orchard Ave. Ellwood City died on Saturday, December 19, 2009 at Northview Estates following a lengthy illness. Born September 15, 1918 in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Katherine Ligner Roth.

She was married on April 3, 1938 to the late Andrew "Fly" Fleischer who died February 18, 2001. Sara was a member of Bell Memorial Church. She was a former active member of the Ellwood City Saxon Club. A graduate of New Castle High School, Mrs. Fleischer was an avid golfer. She enjoyed crocheting and needlepoint. She also enjoyed ceramics, art in general and gardening.

Survivors include a daughter and son in law, Andrea and Ron Peters of Oxford, PA, a son and daughter, Richard and Dawn Fleischer of Ellwood City, three grandchildren; Kyle (Melissa) Peters, Jodi (Steve) Kahan, Rick (Christina) Fleischer and six great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, John Roth, sister, Ann Kiltch and two brothers in infancy.

Funeral services will be held at the Marshall Funeral Home 200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City on Monday, December 21, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Derek Longbrake officiating.
