Wesley W. Simmons


Wesley W. Simmons, 61, of Turkey Hill Rd. Wampum (Shenango Twp.) died on Saturday, July 2, 2011 at his residence following an extended illness.

Born September 6, 1949 in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Wesley W. and Jean H. Werling Simmons Sr.

He was married for 42 years to Patricia Fosnaught Simmons, who survives.

Wesley was a machinist at Rockwell Spring Manufacturing and then at American Thermal in New Castle. He was a member of the Chewton Christian Church. He enjoyed farming, hunting, and fishing. He also enjoyed making parade floats for his family and church. His most cherished time was spent with family.

In addition to his wife, Patricia, he is survived by a daughter - Lorrie (Jacob) Runyan; son - Wesley J. (Joy) Simmons; 2 brothers - Howard (Nickolette) Simmons, Chester (Tracy) Simmons, all of Wampum; four grandchildren - Amber Moorhouse, Wesley Simmons Jr., Jacob Runyan Jr., Brandon McClintick; and one great grandson - John DuBois,

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Barbara Simmons in 1985.

Visiting hours will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 on Tuesday July 5, 2011 at the Marshall Funeral Home 341 Main Street Wampum.

Funeral Services will be held at the Chewton Christian Church on Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Dick Allen officiating.

Interment will follow in Clinton Cemetery.
