Yolanda J. Bara

Yolanda J. Bara, 87, of Old Rt. 18 Wampum ( New Beaver Boro) died on Friday, December 9, 2011 at the Jameson Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.

Born December 4, 1924 in Wampum, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Maria Romana Quintana.

She was married for 39 years to Joseph J. Bara who passed away on October 12, 1984.

Yolanda was a member of the former Queen of Heaven Parish in Wampum. She was a member of the Alter and Rosary Society at the church. She was also a member of the Wampum Women's Club and the former Wampum Seniors. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family.

Survivors include 2 sons - Paul (Arlene) Bara of Greeley, PA, Donald (Arlene) Bara of Wampum; 2 daughters - Kathleen (Danny) Snyder of Lowellville, OH, Jane Bara-Bright of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; sister - Rose Pomerico of Wampum; 6 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 3 sisters - Angeline Sbarro, Ann Karner, and Josephine Pomerico.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday December 12, 2011 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home 341 Main Street Wampum.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, December 12 at 10:00 am at the Holy Redeemer Church. Rev. Father Louis Pascazi will officiate.

Interment will follow in Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
